Iraqi officials have taken decisive action in response to a recent incident involving a hacker who exploited an electronic advertising screen to display explicit content.

This incident occurred at a major road junction within the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and the video footage quickly gained widespread circulation on various social media platforms.

Law enforcement authorities swiftly apprehended an individual connected to the event. According to the police, the suspect is a technician who had ongoing financial disputes with the company responsible for operating the advertising screens. It is believed that the individual carried out this act as an act of retaliation.

The hacker's actions involved the projection of a pornographic film for a duration of several minutes before the power cable was disconnected, as recounted by an anonymous security source who communicated the details to the AFP news agency.

As a consequence of the explicit nature of the displayed content, Iraqi authorities made the decision to deactivate all electronic advertising screens located in Baghdad. This measure is being implemented temporarily as part of a broader review of security protocols and measures.

Typically employed for advertising products or promoting political figures, the advertising screens in Baghdad were effectively turned off on Sunday morning in response to the incident and its potential implications for public morality and security.
