World Cup 2023: Pakistan fails to break 0-8 streak against India after losing badly by 7 wickets

Ahmedabad: India thrashed Pakistan in all departments maintaining its 8-0 winning streak against Pakistan in One-day International (ODI) World Cups as it defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in a one-sided match.

Played at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, India won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be very destructive for Pakistani batters.

Pakistan's batting line-up against India failed miserably and the entire team was bowled out for 191 runs in 42.5 overs.

In reply, India achieved the target of 192 runs in just 30.3 overs at the loss of 3 wickets.

Pakistan suffered the first loss in the form of Abdullah Shafiq, Abdullah fell to Mohammad Siraj for 20 runs, Imam-ul-Haq was dismissed by Hardik Pandya for 36 runs.

In the 30th over, Babar Azam was bowled by Siraj for 50 runs on the total score of 155. After Babar's dismissal, Pakistani batting line up fall apart like leaves and the rest of the batsmen could add only 36 runs to the total score.

Saud Shakeel also proved to be a guest of 6 runs while Iftikhar Ahmed scored 4 runs and was bowled by Kuldeep.

On the total score of 168, Mohammad Rizwan also scored 49 runs off 69 balls and was clean bowled by Jasprit Bumrah.

Shadab Khan scored only 2 runs on the score of 171, Mohammad Nawaz also scored only 4 runs, Hasan Ali also returned to the pavilion for 12 runs, after him Haris also walked on 2 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each.

India achieved the target of 192 runs in 30.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma scored 86 runs in 63 balls with the help of 6 sixes and 6 fours.

Shreyas Iyer (53) and KL Rahul (19) remained unbeaten on 19, including two sixes and three fours. Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli scored 16 runs each.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi took two wickets and Hasan Ali took one wicket.

India's Jasprit Bumrah was named player of the match, taking 2 wickets for 19 runs in 7 overs.
