The huge electricity bills are making the people scream, but the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) has also become worried, and a new plan has been prepared to save Rs. 10.25 million per month.
The monthly bill of streetlights installed on 106 main highways of Karachi comes to an average of Rs. 10.25 million, to save, the Municipal Corporation of Karachi has decided to install solar streetlights on the main highways.
It is worth mentioning that most of Karachi's highways have streetlights, but most of them are either malfunction or deliberately turned off.
The recently constructed Jauhar flyover and underpass have also been installed without solar lights, but now it has been decided to install solar lights due to additional electricity bills.
