Sri Lankan batter Sadeera Samarawickrama scored 72 off 93 balls.
Kusal Mendis scored 50 and Patham Nissanka scored 40 runs, apart from Dawson Shanaka 24, Dimuth Karunaratne 18 and Cherith Asalanka scored 10 runs.
Hasan Mahmood and Taskin Ahmed took three wickets each for Bangladesh, while Shariful Islam took two wickets.
Chasing 258, Bangladesh scored 236 runs in 48.1 overs.
Bangladesh's batter Tauheed Ridduy scored 82 runs, but his innings could not get his team to win.
The main match of the Super Four will be played between Pakistan and India tomorrow. The match will start at 2:30 pm (PST) Pakistan Standard Time.
