King Charles commemorates Princess Anne's 73rd birthday by sharing a childhood photo of the two

UK's King Charles shared Princess Anne’s childhood photo to wish her on 73rd birthday on Tuesday.

On behalf of the King, the palace released a touching gesture for Princess Anne's 73rd birthday, sharing two photographs that capture heartwarming moments between King Charles and his younger sister.

The initial image portrays the Princess Royal alongside the King, taken at Buckingham Palace on May 6, 2023, during the illustrious occasion of the King and Queen's Coronation.

The subsequent snapshot depicts the Princess Royal, then known as Princess Anne, alongside the King, who was Prince Charles at the time, captured at Clarence House in July 1951.

King Charles conveyed his birthday wishes to Princess Anne with the following message: Wishing Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal a very Happy Birthday today!”

In a recent development, King Charles extended his recognition to Princess Anne by bestowing upon her new military responsibilities.

Her new role entails her appointment as the Deputy Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

“The King has taken the decision to designate The Princess Royal as Deputy Colonel-in-Chief of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, acknowledging Her Royal Highness's significant ties to Scotland and her existing roles as the Colonel-in-Chief of both 1st Battalion The Ranger Regiment (formerly 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland) and 6th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland,” the official statement affirms.

It is noteworthy that this marks Princess Anne's first birthday since the passing of Queen Elizabeth in September of the previous year.
