Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 59 runs in the last one-day match of the three-day series to win the series 3-0.
In the third and final ODI played in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Pakistan whitewashed Afghanistan by defeating the series and achieved the first position in the ICC ODI rankings.
Pakistan batted first in the stipulated 50 overs and scored 268 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, chasing the target of 269 runs, Afghanistan's team scored 209 runs in 48.4 overs and all its players were dismissed.

Pakistan's innings:
Earlier, national team captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat.
Mohammad Rizwan scored 67 and Babar Azam scored 60 runs, Mohammad Rizwan hit a six and six fours in his innings, while Babar Azam's innings included a six and four fours.
Agha Salman scored 38, Mohammad Nawaz 30, Fakhar Zaman scored 27 runs, Imam-ul-Haq 13, Saud Shakeel 9, Shadab Khan 3 and Faheem Ashraf scored 2 runs.
Gulbadin Naib took two wickets, Fareed Ahmed took two wickets, Fazal Haq Farooqi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.
Apart from them, Agha Salman scored 38, Mohammad Nawaz 30, Fakhar Zaman scored 27 runs, Imam-ul-Haq 13, Saud Shakeel 9, Shadab Khan 3 and Faheem Ashraf scored 2 runs.
Gulbadin Naib took two wickets, Fareed Ahmed took two wickets, Fazal Haq Farooqi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.
Four changes have been made in the national team today, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Wasim Junior and Saud Shakeel have been included in the team.
Afghanistan's innings:
Chasing 269, Afghanistan were bowled out for 49 in the 209th over.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman scored 64 runs, shahidullah scored 37 and Riaz Hasan scored 34 runs.
Rashid Khan scored 16 and Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 13 runs, Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 5 and Mohammad Nabi scored 3 runs, Ibrahim Zadran and Gulbadin Naib were dismissed for zero.
Shadab Khan took 3 wickets for Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Nawaz took 2 wickets each.
With this win, Pakistan has once again become the number one team in the ODI rankings.
Pakistan are at number one with 119 points, Australia is second with 118 points and India is third with 113 points.
