Faryal Fareed, first woman officer to take charge as SSP in Balochistan


Faryal Fareed takes charge as the first ever female police officer to be appointed as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in the Jaffarabad district of Balochistan.

SSP Faryal belongs from the city of Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, she took charge on Monday, September 1.

At the district police office of Jaffarabad, she was welcomed by the salutes by the police. After taking charge, she called a meeting of her subordinates in the district.

SSP Faryal was also the first lady police officer in the history of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) to be awarded the “Sword of Honor”.

She was given the honor in 2018 when she served as an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) for achieving an overall best performance during the training period at the National Police Academy.
