Justice Qazi Faez Isa takes oath as 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Ceremony was held at the President House in Islamabad, where President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath of office to Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, all four provincial governors, army chief, federal ministers, senators, foreign ambassadors and lawyers, attended the swearing-in ceremony.
Qazi Faez Isa was sworn in as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on September 5, 2014.
Despite being the senior-most judge since the presidential reference in 2019, he has not been included in the bench of any constitutional case for three years.
